Tarek Qabil: Joint Egyptian-Russian Committee To Meet In Moscow

Trade and Industry Minister Tarek Qabil said that preparations are underway for meetings of the joint Egyptian-Russian committee on commercial, economic, scientific and technical cooperation in Moscow before the end of 2017.
Qabil, in a press release, lauded as strategic the ties between Cairo and Moscow at the political and economic levels.
The planned talks will mull key topics topped by negotiations on a free trade agreement between Egypt and the Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia.
The discussions will also tackle the establishment of a Russian industrial zone in Egypt, he added.
Qabil said that trade exchange between Egypt and Russia has improved since 2014 with Egypt's exports to Russia hitting around $360 million in the first half of 2017.
He estimated the surge in the Egyptian exports at 26 percent following a drop of 16 to 25 percent in the past two years
The minister hailed the rise in promotion campaigns conducted by his ministry.
